Assessment
Our therapeutic approach
The emotional experience
is the heart of the assessment.
Three integrated frameworks define how the unit feels, how staff communicate, and how they respond when things are difficult.
Trauma-Informed Practice
We understand a parent's anxiety or avoidance as a response to experience, not obstruction — and we build a safe, predictable environment that lets real parenting emerge.
The PACE Model
Dr Dan Hughes' relational approach underpinning every interaction — and woven into the programme, modelling the very qualities we assess.
- Playfulness
- Acceptance
- Curiosity
- Empathy
Team Teach
A nationally accredited positive-behaviour framework prioritising relationship, de-escalation and the least restrictive response. Physical intervention is always a last resort.
Our assessment model
Clear milestones, timely updates
